San Gerardo Maiella Patronal Feast

The 2025 edition

The 2025 patronal feast took place as per tradition in mid-October, around the liturgical memorial of San Gerardo Maiella on October 16. The Casilino 23 parish, in Rome's Municipality V, offered the usual blend of religious celebrations and neighborhood festivities: novena, solemn masses, and the procession with the statue of the Saint carried on shoulders by the group of bearers through the streets of the district.

Alongside the liturgical part, the square in front of the church hosted the most convivial moments of the festival, with games and activities for children, popular cuisine, music, and the traditional tombola. It was the last edition before the anniversary year: in 2026, the community celebrates fifty years of the parish and three hundred years since the birth of the Saint.
