San Gaudenzio Patronal Festival

San Gaudenzio 2025

The 2025 patronal festival of Novara kicked off on Saturday, January 18th with the opening of the Scurolo of the Basilica of San Gaudenzio and the veneration of the relics of the city's and Diocese's patron saint.

The highlight was, as per tradition, the Flower Ceremony on January 22nd at 10:15 AM, followed by the Pontifical Mass presided over by Monsignor Franco Giulio Brambilla: a deeply felt rite that drew citizens and faithful from across the province to the basilica.

Among the events of this edition were the re-enactment of the "Miracle of the Roses" on the basilica's churchyard and the Official San Gaudenzio Concert on Thursday, January 30th, at 8:45 PM, organized by the Municipality of Novara with the support of the Banca Popolare di Novara Foundation. The festivities combined religious celebrations, cultural events, and moments of popular celebration in the city's historic center.
