San Gaetano Festival - Giostra del Maialetto

The 2025 edition of the San Gaetano Festival took place in Segni from August 7th to 10th, organized by the San Pietro Committee with the Municipality and the Pro Loco as part of the "Segni d'Estate 2025" summer program. The most anticipated moment was the Giostra del Maialetto, a re-enactment set in the ancient Roman Cistern: a true leap back in time that enchants residents and tourists every year, a memory of the 17th-century dispute between the people of Segni and the Sforza counts. To facilitate visitor flow, free shuttle services, security personnel, and information points were activated. The festival, with free admission, confirmed the role of the San Pietro district as the guardian of one of the most original traditions in Lazio.
