Edition 2025 — San Fortunato Feast

In 2025, Montegioco once again renewed its devotion to its patron saint with the San Fortunato Patronal Feast, celebrated at the beginning of June. As every year, the community of the small Val Grue village in the Province of Alessandria gathered around the parish church to honor San Fortunato Martire, in an event that weaves together faith, tradition, and a sense of belonging to the village.

The 2025 San Fortunato Patronal Feast confirmed a tradition rooted for centuries in the Tortona village in the Province of Alessandria. Around June 1st, the patron saint's feast day, the village gathered for celebrations in honor of San Fortunato Martire.

The event, with the intimate and authentic character typical of small Piedmontese municipal festivals, represented in 2025 an opportunity for the community to meet, including those originally from the village who return to Montegioco for these days. The feast is linked to popular devotion towards the saint, protector of the village according to the ancient legend of the fire extinguished by a miraculous rain.
