San Filippo d'Agira Festival

2025 Edition

In August 2025, the community of Mongiuffi Melia (Messina) renewed its devotion to Saint Philip of Agira with the traditional festivities. An event also documented at Piazza San Nicolò saw the village come alive with faith and conviviality.

The program followed the usual schedule: evening transfer of the statue from the Santuario della Madonna della Libera to the Mother Church, free tastings of local products at the Urban Park, the solemn Sunday procession passing through the Mongilone, Volo, and Placi districts, and, upon return, the spectacular Trasuta di San Fulippu along Via Grottonello, concluded with the distribution of carnations to the faithful.
