Edition 2025 — San Donato Carnival

In 2025, the San Donato and Galugnano Carnival took place with the San Donato di Lecce parade on Sunday, February 16, and the Galugnano parade on Saturday, March 1. In this edition as well, allegorical floats, masked groups, and individual masks paraded before a jury of experts tasked with awarding prizes to the most original creations of the Salento carnival tradition.

The 2025 edition

The 2025 San Donato and Galugnano Carnival confirmed the event's historic formula, with two main appointments: the San Donato di Lecce parade on Sunday, February 16, and that of the hamlet of Galugnano on Saturday, March 1. The streets of the center were filled with allegorical floats, costumed groups, and individual masks, evaluated by a professional jury.

As per tradition, the Municipality of San Donato di Lecce promoted the participation of groups and floats through registration, with contributions to participants, keeping alive a popular event that has its roots in 1977 and represents one of the most heartfelt Carnival appointments in the province of Lecce, in Puglia.
