2025 San Domenico Savio Festival in Scordia
The 2025 edition of the San Domenico Savio Festival in Scordia (Catania) was held from July 11 to 13, with three days dedicated to faith, community, and the popular celebration of the Scordia Alta district.
The triduum opened on Friday, July 11, with a solemn Eucharistic concelebration presided over by Msgr. Calogero Peri, Bishop of Caltagirone, in which all the parish communities of Scordia took part. Saturday, July 12, was dedicated to the family, with the Eucharist for married couples celebrating their wedding anniversaries. Sunday, July 13, the main day, the Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Giuseppe Damigella O.P., prior of the Dominican Convent of Catania, followed by the evening procession of the Saint's statue and relic.
On the recreational side, the evenings featured the talent show "San Domenico Savio night talent's" and choreographies by students of the L'Ecole de la Danse academy, while every evening the churchyard hosted the mini street food area and the craft market.
