San Cristoforo Festival in Vallepietra

From July 25th to 27th, 2025, Vallepietra celebrated its patron saint, Saint Christopher, with three days of festivities promoted by the Municipality and the Pro Loco. On Friday, July 25th, the liturgical day of the saint, the community gathered at 11:00 AM for a Holy Mass in his honor; on Saturday, July 26th, at 6:30 PM, the Eucharistic celebration was followed by a solemn procession that crossed the streets of the historic center amidst prayers and hymns. The festival, experienced as a moment of reflection and popular participation, confirmed the strong bond between the Simbruini Mountains village and the protector of travelers and pilgrims, in a town that has been a pilgrimage destination for centuries towards the Sanctuary of the Most Holy Trinity.
