The 39th edition, November 22, 2025

The 2025 edition of the San Clemente District Festival took place on Saturday, November 22nd in the Celio and Monti districts, upon the indication of the titular cardinal of the Basilica of San Clemente al Laterano, to harmonize the festival with the complex's religious celebrations. Promoted by the Associazione Via San Giovanni in Laterano APS with the support of the Municipio Roma I Centro, the event had as its central theme "Upside-Down Encounter between West and East," dedicated to the dialogue between different cultures and religions.

The day included the San Clemente Mile race, which connects the basilica to that of San Giovanni in Laterano, a mixed bocce match and a collective chess game at the Nerone Library – Colle Oppio Senior Center, traditional Roman pans, stalls, and cultural activities dedicated to promoting the basilica. The highlight was the historical re-enactment of the translation of the relics of San Clemente, with a torchlight procession, prayers, music, and the Bersaglieri Fanfare through the streets of the two districts.

This edition marked the official entry of the festival among the district events recognized by the municipal administration, five years after its recognition as a demo-ethno-anthropological asset by the Superintendency.
