Edition 2025 — San Cataldo Corato
San Cataldo Festival 2025 in Corato
The 2025 edition of the San Cataldo Patronal Festival took place in Corato from August 23 to 26, with an additional day on the 26th. An extraordinary element of the year was the arrival, on August 20, of the relics of Saint Catald from Taranto, welcomed by clergy, confraternities, and authorities, and kept until August 26 in the "Santa Maria Maggiore" Collegiate Church.
Processions and devotion
The highlight was the grand solemn procession on August 24, featuring the 1770 silver bust and the urn with the relics, accompanied during the festival days by the historic 18th-century maple wood statue. There were also spiritual itineraries "In the footsteps of Saint Catald" and the "Cycling with the Saints" initiative.
Music, lights, and flavors
The evenings featured brass bands: the Corato Band "Raffaele Miglietta", the Grand Band Concert City of Bisceglie "Biagio Abbate", and the Grand Band Concert "Michele Lufrano" City of Triggiano, in addition to itinerant performances along the main street. The sky lit up with the "Pirostar" fireworks display, while the "I sapori di Corato in festa" food area offered typical local products. Grand finale on August 26 with a free concert by Coma Cose in Piazza Cesare Battisti.
