Edition 2025 — San Calogero
The 2025 edition of the San Calogero Festival took place in Mussomeli on Sunday, August 31, the last Sunday of the month as tradition dictates. The celebration represented the culmination of a week of religious appointments at the Church of San Giovanni Battista, including novenas, rosaries, daily bread blessings, and Holy Masses.
On the day of the festival, the statue of the hermit saint went out in procession along the streets and alleys of the historic center, amidst the sound of bells and traditional blank cannon shots. In front of the church, the large table of 'mbraculi di San Calogero was set up, featuring the blessed votive breads (pani binidiciutu) prepared by the faithful and distributed to those present, following a popular devotion deeply rooted in the Mussomeli community.
