Edition 2025 — San Calogero
The 2025 edition of the San Calogero Festival in Porto Empedocle was held from September 1 to 7, confirming the long tradition of a festival that spans several days to allow every district to welcome the Saint into its streets.
The statue left the Dockworkers' Guild chapel for the solemn procession toward the Mother Church, to the sound of drums and a brass band. In the following days, the processions reached the historic center, Villaggio Bonocore, the Vincenzella district, the Station area, and the Lanterna plateau, punctuated by the tossing of muffuletti from balconies and evenings of deep spirituality led by local priests.
The first Sunday of September represented the climax, with the final procession and the fireworks display over the pier, before the statue returned to the Mother Church.
