Edition 2025 — San Calogero Festival

In 2025, the San Calogero Festival in Cesarò took place according to the usual double calendar: June 18th for the liturgical feast and August 21st for the harvest thanksgiving festival. The triduum, processions of the relics and the saint's statue, the door-to-door quest with the band, the weighing of children, and the fercolo race were renewed, with the livestock fair and the Palio of Cesarò completing the summer festivities between faith, folklore, and fireworks.

San Calogero Festival 2025 in Cesarò

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast of Cesarò (Messina), in the Nebrodi mountains, confirmed the tradition of the double appointment: the liturgical celebration on June 18 and the summer harvest thanksgiving festival on August 21, both preceded by the livestock fair.

The historic center hosted the solemn processions of the relics and the statue of San Calogero, the race of the fercolo, the quest with the band, and the weighing of children. Religious rites were accompanied by popular games, the Estate Cesarese shows, the Palio of Cesarò with jockeys from all over Sicily, and traditional fireworks.
