Edition 2025 — San Biagio

In 2025, Motta Camastra once again celebrated its patron saint San Biagio on February 3rd, with liturgical services in the mother church, the blessing of the throat, and the procession of the statue through the historic center, in an atmosphere of faith and popular devotion.

The 2025 edition of the San Biagio Festival in Motta Camastra, in the province of Messina, took place on February 3rd according to tradition. The community gathered at the Parish of San Michele Arcangelo for a solemn mass and liturgical services in honor of the patron saint, protector of the throat. On this occasion, the traditional blessing of the throat was also held, followed by the procession of the saint's statue through the alleys of the medieval village overlooking the Alcantara Valley. The festival confirmed its role as an identity-building event, capable of reuniting the faithful and locals connected to their roots.
