San Bastian Festival in Selva di Levico

The 2025 edition

In 2025, the village of Selva di Levico, in the municipality of Levico Terme (Trentino-Alto Adige), once again celebrated its patron saints Fabian and Sebastian with the traditional San Bastian Festival. Saturday afternoon opened the festivities with the campanò rung by the Alpini from the village bell tower. On Sunday, after the solemn mass, the community gathered in the square for the distribution of grostoli, apple fritole, and mulled wine prepared by local groups.

The highlight was the 34th edition of the Wood-Sled Race, the famous Castle Palio, starting from the area of the Castle of Selva and arriving in the square amidst tests of skill and strength. Organized by the Gruppo Castel Selva with the Alpini Group and the Missionary Group, the festival confirmed the strong bond of the inhabitants with their farming and forestry roots.
