About San Bartolomeo Festival

The Sagra di San Bartolomeo is the patronal feast of Villa Bartolomea, in the Basso Veronese area, one of the oldest in the province of Verona with over two hundred editions. At the end of August, Corso Fraccaroli comes alive with six evenings of food stands, a funfair, dancing evenings with national artists, and the traditional Super Tombolas of 5,000 euros. Organized by the Gruppo Feste Villa Bartolomea, it is the most anticipated event of the year for the community.

A bicentennial patronal feast

The San Bartolomeo Festival is the patronal feast of Villa Bartolomea, a municipality in the Basso Veronese area of the province of Verona, dedicated to the saint who gives the town its name. With over two hundred and twenty editions, it is one of the oldest and most rooted festivals in the area: the patron saint San Bartolomeo is celebrated on August 24th.

Six evenings of celebration on Corso Fraccaroli

The festival takes place along Corso Fraccaroli and offers six evenings of celebration with a food stand offering Veronese traditional specialties, a funfair, and numerous dancing evenings enlivened by national-level artists. Among the most anticipated events are the two Super Tombolas of 5,000 euros, a real draw for thousands of participants.

The Gruppo Feste Villa Bartolomea

The event is organized by the Gruppo Feste Villa Bartolomea (G.F.V.B.), which manages the entire free-admission event. The San Bartolomeo Festival combines the religious dimension of the patronal feast with popular conviviality, confirming itself as the event of the year for Villa Bartolomea and the neighboring municipalities of the Veronese plain.
