Samhain — Celtic New Year / Halloween

The 2025 edition of Samhain — Celtic New Year, held on October 31, 2025, celebrated the 30th edition of the event in the historic center of Riolo Terme (RA), Emilia-Romagna. That year too, the village transformed for one night into a large Celtic encampment, with reconstructions of ancient villages, druidic rituals around sacred fires, and hundreds of costumed participants.

Along the village streets, processions of fantastic creatures, drum and percussion bands, fire jugglers, and street artists alternated, while food stalls offered the flavors of Romagna tradition and markets displayed Celtic-themed products. Around midnight, the final battle between good and evil took place, concluding with the evocative burning of the monster in the Rocca's moat and a fireworks display.
