Edition 2025 — Capizzi–Maiorana Competition
Eighth edition (2025)
The eighth edition of the Capizzi–Maiorana Competition took place in Buseto Palizzolo, in the province of Trapani, in May 2025. The event, organized by the Giacomo Candela Musical Association, maintained its multi-phase structure, featuring solo and chamber sections alongside a phase reserved for school orchestras with a musical curriculum.
In 2025 as well, the competition attracted young musicians from various Italian regions, with auditions broadcast via live stream and followed by local television, confirming the event's deep roots in the Sicilian music education landscape.
