Salisano in Pittura Open-Air Painting Competition

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, Salisano hosted the first edition of its open-air painting competition: twenty artists of all levels and ages, from established professionals to children, registered in the morning and painted throughout the day in the most picturesque corners of the village, inspired by the alleys, scenic spots, and the landscape of the Sabina region.

After the submission of the works and a reception in the square, the awards ceremony was held at the Municipal Theater: the jury, chaired by cultural journalist Antonella Giordano, with Roland Ekstrom, Maria Cristina Fattori, Luca Ruzza, and Gianni Turina, awarded the first prize of 500 euros to Antonio Mazziale from Campobasso, the second of 300 euros to Mauro Del Vescovo from Fara Sabina, and the third of 200 euros to Elena Prokorova Vladimirovna from Poggio Mirteto. The winning works were donated to the Municipality of Salisano.

The day was enriched by food stalls serving local products, the inauguration of the first video-photographic exhibition dedicated to the living nativity scenes of Salisano, and, in the afternoon, the "El Circo Pablo" juggling show for children and teens. The debut was so successful that the organizers immediately decided to confirm a second edition.
