Edition 2025 — Salina Carnival
In 2025, the Salina Carnival once again enlivened the Aeolian island with its parades spread across the three municipalities and the grand finale on Shrove Tuesday in Santa Marina Salina. Allegorical floats, masked groups, costumed team games, the performance of the death of King Carnival with a bonfire, and the traditional sasizzata in the square confirmed the island community's strong bond with this popular festival of tradition, joy, and good food.
Salina Carnival 2025
The 2025 edition of the Salina Carnival renewed the carnival tradition of the Aeolian island, in the province of Messina. Parades of allegorical floats and masked groups traveled through the island's municipalities until Shrove Tuesday.
In Santa Marina Salina, the final day featured the classic masked parade, team games, the theatrical performance of the death of King Carnival with a bonfire, and the grand final sasizzata in the square, amidst grilled sausage, wine, and conviviality.
