Edition 2025 — Salento Organ Festival
In the summer of 2025, the 11th edition of the Salento Organ Festival stopped in Salve with three events at the Mother Church of San Nicola Magno: an opening concert with the ensemble Le Armoniche Stravaganze, a solo recital, and a masterclass concluded by a concert from Maestro Andrea Marcon. An edition that combined great international performers with the training of young organists.
The 2025 program in Salve
The 11th edition of the Salento Organ Festival brought life to Salento's churches from July to August 2025. In Salve, at the Mother Church of San Nicola Magno, three events were held:
- July 6, 2025, 9:00 PM — ensemble Le Armoniche Stravaganze, with countertenor Vincenzo Franchini, trumpeter Luigi D'Urso, and organist Francesco Scarcella;
- July 22, 2025, 9:00 PM — organ recital by Sara Dieci;
- August 28-31, 2025 — masterclass with Maestro Andrea Marcon (August 28-30) and final concert on August 31.
As every year, the festival showcased the rare 1628 Olgiati-Mauro organ housed in the church of Salve, in the province of Lecce, combining high-level concerts with the training of young organists.
