Salento Book Festival 2025

In 2025, the 15th edition of the Salento Book Festival, "The Festival of Books, the Readers' Movida," brought the Salento summer to life from June to September. The travelling festival, conceived and directed by journalist Gianpiero Pisanello, visited thirteen municipalities in the province of Lecce, the heart of the Salento region in Puglia—including Nardò, Aradeo, Collepasso, Cutrofiano, Galatone, Gallipoli, Muro Leccese, Racale, Specchia, and Tricase—with free-admission evenings in the squares and historic sites of the area, in addition to a special event in Bari.

Among the guests of the 15th edition were prominent authors and figures such as Luciana Littizzetto, Alessandro Gassman, Walter Veltroni, Concita De Gregorio, Nicola Gratteri, Pietro Grasso, Serena Dandini, and Aldo Cazzullo. The widespread format, capable of reaching even the smallest centers of Salento, brought readers closer to books in a convivial atmosphere, paving the way for Tiggiano's entry into the 2026 program.
