Edition 2025 — Salento Book Festival

On Monday, September 1, 2025, the Salento Book Festival stopped in Specchia, in Piazza del Popolo, as part of the 15th edition "The Festival of Books, the buzz of readers". A free evening with two presentations: fiction by Simona Ruffino and current affairs reporting by Gad Lerner, in dialogue with the public of Lower Salento.

Salento Book Festival 2025 in Specchia

The 15th edition of the Salento Book Festival brought books to Piazza del Popolo in Specchia on Monday, September 1, 2025, for a free evening event.

At 8:30 PM, Simona Ruffino presented "Non tutto è come appare" (Apogeo); at 9:30 PM, journalist Gad Lerner presented "Gaza. Odio e amore per Israele" (Feltrinelli), in conversation with Attilio Pisanò from the University of Salento. An event blending fiction and current affairs that confirmed the festival's mission to make books a popular meeting point in the historic center of Specchia, in the province of Lecce.
