Salento Book Festival 2025 in Galatone
In 2025, the 15th edition of the Salento Book Festival, "The Festival of Books, the Buzz of Readers," toured numerous towns in the province of Lecce throughout the summer. Galatone was among the stops, with an event hosted in the setting of the Palazzo Marchesale.
On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 9:00 PM, festival co-director Massimo Bernardini moderated an evening featuring two voices: journalist Myrta Merlino presented "Donne che sfidano la tempesta" (Solferino), dedicated to the stories of women who have faced adversity, while Marco Tardelli, 1982 World Cup champion, discussed "Tutto o niente" (Mondadori), the book written with his daughter Sara. The free event confirmed the strong bond between the festival and the Galatone community.
