Edition 2025 — Saints Cosmas and Damian Feast
2025 Edition
The 2025 Saints Cosmas and Damian Feast took place in the village of Sciglio, in Roccalumera (ME), with the customary patronal rite culminating on the last Sunday of September. The novena, which began with the moving of the statue from its niche, guided the community toward the central days of the feast.
On Thursday evening, the statue of the two Holy Physicians was carried in procession to Piazza dei Caduti, where it remained for the vigil and the celebration with the anointing of the sick, before returning to the church with the candlelight procession. On Sunday, liturgical services followed one another from early morning until the Solemn Mass at 11:00 AM; in the evening, the procession through the streets of the village and, at midnight, the traditional fireworks.
