Edition 2025 — Saint Vitale Festival

In 2025, the Saint Vitale Festival in San Salvo held its peak days on April 27th and 28th, following the Sfilata delle Some on Saturday, April 26th. Featuring the blessing of taralli, solemn masses, the re-enactment of the arrival of the relics, a procession, and concerts in the square, the patronal feast confirmed its strong popular participation, concluding with fireworks and the Octave.

The 2025 edition opened on Saturday, April 26th, with the Sfilata delle Some, the parade of horses and tractors departing from Viale De Gasperi. On Sunday, April 27th, the blessing of the taralli kicked off the main festivities. On April 28th, the patron saint's day, the new Sfilata delle Some from via Montenero preceded the re-enactment of the arrival of the relics, the solemn mass in Piazza San Vitale, and the evening procession. In the evening, the concert in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII featuring Nostalgia '90 enlivened the festival, followed by a fireworks display. The event, deeply felt by the community of San Salvo (Chieti, Abruzzo), concluded with the Octave.
