Edition 2025 — Saint Thomas Aquinas Fair
An anniversary edition
2025 coincided with the 800th anniversary of the birth of Saint Thomas Aquinas and the Jubilee Year: the Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata, which houses the saint's relic, was designated a Jubilee church for the entire year. The celebrations opened on March 1st with the presentation of the book Saint Thomas Aquinas and Friar Reginaldo of Piperno by Franco Pelagalli in the Ceremony Hall.
Sunday, March 2nd, saw the most attended moments: in the morning, a pilgrimage on foot from the Castle of Maenza to Fossanova Abbey, retracing the philosopher's final journey, and at 11:00 AM, a solemn mass in the abbey, filmed and broadcast by Rai Uno. In the afternoon, the tasting event San Tomà . A dessert for Saint Thomas at the Museum Buvette, and at 6:30 PM, a classical guitar concert in the Church of San Tommaso d'Aquino.
On Thursday, March 6th, a solemn mass was held in the Co-Cathedral followed by the traditional procession; finally, from March 7th to 9th, the "AgriC_u_ltura di Sapori" festival took place at the Covered Market of the Mattatoio in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, featuring tastings, theatrical performances, exhibitions, workshops, guided tours, and local producer stands, alongside the patron saint's fair in the historic center of Priverno.
