Edition 2025 — Saint Stephen Fair

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, Selci celebrated the Saint Stephen Patronal Feast: from 8 a.m. until late at night, the Bassa Sabina village came alive with the fair, religious celebrations in honor of the patron saint, the procession from the church of SS. Salvatore to the rural chapel of Saint Stephen, and the final fireworks display, with free admission.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Stephen Patronal Feast took place on Sunday, August 3rd, according to the official record published by the Municipality of Selci: a full day of festivities, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with the hub in Piazza del Popolo and the streets of the historic center. The community honored Saint Stephen the Protomartyr with religious celebrations and the traditional procession that reached the rural chapel dedicated to the saint from the parish church of SS. Salvatore, amidst the countryside of the Bassa Sabina.

As per tradition, the festival — organized by the Municipality with the collaboration of the Selci Proloco and with completely free admission — concluded in the evening under the glimmer of the fireworks display, the most awaited moment of the event. An edition that confirmed the role of the Saint Stephen Fair as the main summer event of the town, capable of attracting residents, natives of the village, and visitors from neighboring towns in the province of Rieti.
