Saint Sebastian Patronal Feast (Ballo della Puento)

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Saint Sebastian festival took place in Chiomonte, in the upper Susa Valley, around January 20th. As per tradition, the Priori and Priore in traditional attire carried the Puento in procession through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the Angioletti. Parades, solemn masses, and dancing marked the festive days, reaffirming the community identity of this Piedmontese municipality.

In 2025, the Puento—a tall structure adorned with colorful ribbons symbolizing the tree of life—was once again at the center of the celebrations, keeping one of the oldest Alpine traditions of Piedmont alive and confirming the event as the valley's first major winter festival.
