Edition 2025 — January Saint Sebastian
The 2025 January edition of the liturgical feast of Saint Sebastian in Ferla confirmed the strength of a centuries-old tradition. On the evening of the eve, around 9:00 PM, the oil lamp was lit, followed by the unveiling and curruta of the 16th-century statue of the Glorious Martyr, accompanied by the solemn chanting of Vespers and the procession of the relic.
On January 20th, the day of the feast, the Holy Mass was celebrated at dawn (7:30 AM) with the lighting of votive torches, followed by solemn masses at 10:30 AM and 6:30 PM. At noon, amidst the flight of the nzareddi and the sound of fireworks, the devotion of the nudi and the exit of the Patron were renewed. The festivities closed on January 30th, at 6:30 PM, with the re-veiling of the Saint, a thanksgiving mass, a blessing with the silver arm relic, and the final fireworks display.
