Saint Sebastian Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Sebastian Festival in Ciminna took place in the heart of winter, on the Sunday closest to January 20th. As per tradition, the Sant'Andrea district provided the setting for the festivities: the 'ntinna game on the eve, the lighting of the bonfire, the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and the blessing of the fields. The statue in cherry wood, decorated with oranges, was carried in procession through the streets of the village, and the citrus fruits were blessed and distributed to the faithful at the end of the parade, in an atmosphere of strong popular participation.
