Saint Roch Patronal Feast

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Saint Roch Patronal Feast in Gibellina, in the province of Trapani, followed the traditional calendar, culminating on August 16th. The day began early in the morning with the drummers' parade, followed by Holy Mass in the Mother Church and the procession of the Saint Roch statue through the city streets.

In the preceding days, the most characteristic rites of the Gibellina tradition took place: the handing over of the city keys to the Saint at the Chapel of Saint Roch, the blessing of the dogs, and the blessing of Saint Roch's bread. On the evening of August 16th, in Piazza XV Gennaio 1968, the religious festival gave way to a concert and community celebration.
