Saint Roch Patronal Feast and Palio delle Contrade

The 2025 edition of the Saint Roch Patronal Feast and Palio delle Contrade was held on August 16, 2025, in Arlena di Castro, in the province of Viterbo. On the patron saint's day, the Tuscia village renewed its most identifying tradition, with the procession in honor of Saint Roch and the Palio delle Contrade, the characteristic donkey race that sees the village districts compete.

The patronal feast was the highlight of a rich summer calendar: in the preceding days, the Lombrichello Festival (dedicated to the typical local pasta shape) and the Taste Village had taken place, with food and wine specialties, music, and entertainment in the square. An August of events that confirmed the vitality and hospitality of this small town in the Lazio Region.
