Saint Rita's Festival - Palio delle Rose

The Saint Rita Festival is the most heartfelt event for the community of Bettolino, a hamlet of Pogliano Milanese. Around May 22nd, the saint's day, the hamlet gathers for traditional rites: the blessing of roses and cars, the procession, and religious celebrations. The sporting and community dimension of the Palio delle Rose, a tournament involving the inhabitants, complements the faith aspect. Organized by the parish and the oratory dedicated to Saint Rita, the festival combines devotion and sociality in a climate of popular participation.
