Saint Rita of Cascia Festival

Also in 2025, on the occasion of the liturgical anniversary of May 22nd, the community of San Giovanni la Punta gathered around the figure of Saint Rita of Cascia in the Mother Church of San Giovanni Battista.

The day, intense and well-attended, followed the established tradition: the morning liturgical celebrations with the blessing of the roses, the procession of the saint's statue along the main streets of the center, the blessing of vehicles in the municipal parking lot adjacent to the church, and, upon the return of the procession, the concluding fireworks display. The organization was handled, as every year, by the committee composed exclusively of women devoted to Saint Rita.
