The 2025 edition in Casalotti

From May 13 to 24, 2025, the Saint Rita of Cascia parish on Vicolo di Casalotti, Rome, celebrated its patron saint with an extended calendar, opening with a novena held outdoors in Piazza Ormea, in the heart of the neighborhood.

Every evening, the 6:00 PM holy mass was followed at 7:30 PM by a meditative rosary, the blessing of Saint Rita's rosaries, and the switching on of the lights that illuminated the square throughout the festival. Among the celebrants was Father Lorenzo Gallizioli, vicar of the Selva Candida-Casalotti vicariate.

The most attended moment was, as always, the procession with the statue of the saint along the district's streets, accompanied by a marching band and concluded with fireworks upon returning to the church. Alongside the liturgical events, the community organized community dinners in the parish spaces, food stalls, and evening entertainment that have made this festival a neighborhood landmark for years, even before its religious significance.
