Edition 2025 — Saint Rita in Vico
The 2025 edition of the Saint Rita Festival in Vico del Gargano was held from May 12th to 22nd, at the church that houses the cult of the saint in the medieval village of the Gargano, in the province of Foggia. The evening novena, celebrated in the preceding days, accompanied the community toward the day of the feast.
On May 22nd, Saint Rita's liturgical feast day, the celebrations culminated with the blessing of the roses, a devotional symbol linked to the saint of the impossible, and with the procession of the statue through the alleys of the historic center. In the evening, next to the churchyard, the popular celebration united the faithful with choral singing, in one of the most deeply felt religious traditions of the Vico calendar.
