Edition 2025 — Saint Nicholas of Myra

The 2025 edition of the Saint Nicholas of Myra Patronal Feast took place in Squinzano from December 6th to 8th. The heart of the festival was the solemn procession on December 6th, with the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by the Archbishop of Lecce, Monsignor Angelo Panzetta, and the presentation of the ring, cross, and city keys to the Saint. Civil highlights included the Myragiocando children's festival, the Agora of Taste, and the December 7th concert in Piazza Plebiscito featuring Brusco and Nandu Popu of Sud Sound System.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Nicholas of Myra Patronal Feast brought Squinzano to life from December 6th to 8th, uniting the northern Salento community around its protector. After the novena and the ancient rite of dressing the Saint, on December 6th, the Mother Church hosted the 10:30 AM Holy Mass with the blessing of the Manna of Saint Nicholas and the children, followed by the Myragiocando festival. In the afternoon, the solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by the Archbishop of Lecce, Monsignor Angelo Panzetta, followed by the presentation of the ring, cross, and city keys to the Saint, with a long procession through the town streets and a performance by the Rione Castello di Carovigno flag-wavers in Piazza San Nicola.

On December 7th, the traditional Saint Nicholas Fair took place along Via Lecce and Via Brindisi, and in the evening, the concert in Piazza Plebiscito featured Brusco and Nandu Popu of Sud Sound System. On December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the Eucharistic Celebration and the transfer of the statues back to the Church of San Giovanni concluded the festivities.
