Edition 2025 — Saint Nicholas of Bari (December)

On December 6th, 2025, Villa Santa Maria honored its patron saint, Saint Nicholas of Bari, with the traditional winter liturgical feast. The community of the Chieti village, always devoted to the saint, gathered in the Church of San Nicola di Bari for Eucharistic celebrations on the patron's canonical day.

The winter celebration of Saint Nicholas of Bari on December 6th, 2025, in Villa Santa Maria (CH) renewed the community's ancient devotion to its patron saint. On the canonical liturgical day, distinct from the larger popular festivities of the first Sunday in May, the faithful gathered in the parish church on Piazza San Nicola for religious services. The event, which is repeated every year, anticipated the bicentennial year of the parish church, built between 1816 and 1826, which would be celebrated throughout 2026.
