Saint Nicholas is Coming

The 2025 edition was held on Friday, December 5th, in the village of Caoria, municipality of Canal San Bovo (TN). In the late afternoon, children went out with cowbells to announce Saint Nicholas, stopping in front of houses to recite rhymes and receiving sweets and dried fruit. From 7:30 PM, at the Alpini Festival Grounds, Saint Nicholas arrived dressed as a bishop with his angels and the Krampus; this was followed by a chestnut roast with mulled wine and hot apple cider, the distribution of gifts to children, and, at the parish hall, entertainment and a nativity scene exhibition. A simple and genuine evening, deeply felt by the Vanoi community.
