Saint Nicholas Festival 2025 in Tortoreto
On Saturday, December 6, 2025, Tortoreto celebrated its patron saint, Saint Nicholas of Bari. The highlight was the concert in honor of the patron saint, held at 9:00 PM in the Church of Sant'Agostino, in the village of Tortoreto Alto.
The Tesori d'Abruzzo Chamber Orchestra took center stage, with a program featuring great classics and traditional Christmas melodies arranged by Marco Ciccone. On stage were soprano Manuela Formichella and solo violinist Cristina Palucci, with the event presented by historian and journalist Sandro Galantini. The concert, which was free to attend, was organized by the municipal administration in collaboration with publisher Paolo de Siena.
The occasion also inaugurated the city's Christmas calendar, with the opening of the ice skating rink in Piazza Berlinguer in Tortoreto Lido and numerous events for families and children.
