Edition 2025 — Saint Nicholas and the Strozega dei Bandoni
2025 Edition
The Saint Nicholas Feast was held in Fai della Paganella on the evening of Friday, December 5, 2025, confirming the historic Strozega dei Bandoni. As per tradition, children dragged tin cans tied together through the village streets, filling the town with sounds to "call" the patron saint.
The procession started from Piazza San Rocco in Cortalta and arrived in the central square, where Saint Nicholas arrived on a donkey, distributing tangerines, peanuts, and sweets to the little ones, while mulled wine was offered to the adults. The event was included in the 2025-2026 winter calendar of the Paganella Plateau, among nativity scenes, parades, and popular traditions in the local villages.
