Saint Michael the Archangel Festival – Villaggio San Michele

2025 Edition

The 2025 Saint Michael the Archangel Festival at Villaggio San Michele in Messina was held from September 20 to 29, organized by the parish led by Father Carlo Olivieri in collaboration with the Archdiocese and the Municipality of Messina. The religious program included the novena and rosary at 5:15 PM followed by evening mass, culminating in the solemn procession of Saint Michael the Archangel on Sunday, September 28, through the village streets.

On the secular side, the evenings of September 27, 28, and 29 brought the square in front of the parish to life: on Friday the 27th at 7:30 PM, there was entertainment and a Grand Dance Gala featuring five local schools, followed in the subsequent days by concerts, the Corrida amateur talent show, a painting competition, and performances with special guests. There was also a street food area, featuring street specialties like fried pizza. At the end of the procession, a lottery drawing was held with valuable prizes, including electronic devices and a statue of Saint Michael the Archangel.
