The 2025 festival in Montecelio

From Thursday, September 25 to Sunday, September 28, 2025, the village of Montecelio, in the municipality of Guidonia Montecelio, experienced four days of festivities for Saint Michael the Archangel. The opening, on Thursday, featured the traditional charity raffle in Piazza San Giovanni and the committee's card tournament, followed by evenings of music and entertainment.

Friday was dedicated to local culture with performances in dialect, photo exhibitions, magic for children, and sports demonstrations, before the evening concert in the local Montecelio dialect by Maurizio Sbraga. Saturday included excursions, traditional games, a comedy show, and a guided tour of the museum.

Sunday brought the village together around religious celebrations and the procession with the marching band, the Montecelio pasta e fagioli festival accompanied by wines from the Castelli, the Raffaella Carrà tribute show "Cuore Batti Cuore," and the acrobatics of the Circus by Night. The heart of the day was the parade of the Vunnelle and the Butteri through the streets of the village, hailed by Mayor Mauro Lombardo as one of the most authentic expressions of Montecelio's identity. For the occasion, a free shuttle service was active from Piazza Alfredo Barbieri in Guidonia.
