The 2025 edition of the patronal feast of Viagrande took place on January 14 and 15, following established traditions: the eve with the livestock and agricultural tool fair at Piano Gelsi, the procession of the reliquaries of Saint Maurus and Saint Placid, and the performances of the young singers from the Scalatelli and Santa Caterina districts.

On January 15th, the pontifical Eucharistic celebration at the Mother Church of Santa Maria dell'Idria preceded the exit of the statue, accompanied by the fireworks display, the long procession of the fercolo, and the traditional Calata dell'Angelo in Piazza San Mauro. The Patronage feast was then celebrated on the first Sunday of September, with the reopening of the shrine for the faithful and vacationers in the Etna area.
