Edition 2025 — Saint Matthew Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Matthew Festival took place in Torremaggiore from September 18 to 21, at the Church of the Holy Crosses in the San Matteo district. Four days of faith and tradition, featuring the three-day preparation period, a sacred music concert, the blessing of the animals, the mostocotto festival, and the solemn closing procession on September 21st, the day of the Saint's liturgical feast.

From September 18 to 21, 2025, the San Matteo district of Torremaggiore celebrated Saint Matthew the Evangelist. The days of the triduo (September 18-20) featured the recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 PM and Holy Mass with preaching at 7:00 PM.

Saturday, September 20, the day opened with firecracker displays at 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM; after the 7:00 PM Mass, at 8:00 PM, the statue of Saint Matthew was brought out onto the church square for the blessing of the animals, followed at 8:15 PM by the sacred music concert by Prof. Michele Trematore, "Preces inter Sacrum et Profanum," and the evening dedicated to the mostocotto and local products festival.

Sunday, September 21, the liturgical feast day, Holy Masses were celebrated at 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 5:00 PM; at 6:00 PM, the solemn procession with the statue traveled through the district's streets, with a stop at the Holy Spirit Parish and the return to Piazzale Armando Diaz.
