Edition 2025 — Saint Matthew in Peschici

On September 21, 2025, Peschici celebrated the Feast of Saint Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist, a devotional event that gathers the Gargano community in the heart of the historic center every year. Through religious rites and a procession, the occasion renewed a tradition of popular faith deeply rooted in the village overlooking the Gargano sea.

The Saint Matthew 2025 feast took place as per tradition on September 21st in Peschici, in the Province of Foggia. The day saw the community gather around the Mother Church for liturgical celebrations in honor of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist, followed by the procession through the alleys of the old village.

The event, which falls at the end of summer, confirmed the deep bond between the inhabitants of Peschici and their religious traditions, in an intimate and participatory atmosphere typical of Gargano village festivals.
