Edition 2025 — Saint Martin
The 2025 edition of Saint Martin's Day Festival was celebrated on November 11th in Venice, with children roaming the alleyways banging pots in search of sweets and pastry shops featuring the typical knight-shaped Saint Martin biscuits.
In 2025, Venice also celebrated Saint Martin's Day on November 11th. Children, wearing cardboard crowns and red capes, enlivened the alleyways by banging ladles on pots and pans and singing the traditional rhyme, receiving sweets and coins in return. Pastry shops displayed the characteristic shortcrust pastry biscuits shaped like a knight on horseback, renewing a centuries-old popular tradition deeply rooted in the city.
