Saint Mark the Evangelist Patronal Festival

The 2025 edition opened with a three-day preparation period for the festival in the Church of Saint Mark and the 6:30 PM Eucharistic celebration. On April 24, the community gathered around the Saint Mark banquets hosted by the neighborhoods, accompanied by the Music Wave Band and a Top DJ Contest with five local musicians. On April 25, the patron saint's day, the ritual of handing over the keys to the saint took place, followed by the Eucharistic celebration in the square and the evocative Four Winds procession: the statue of Saint Mark was carried to the cardinal points of the village—decorated for the occasion by the neighborhoods—for rogations and the blessing of the countryside, the town, and the sea. In the afternoon, the solemn procession of the saint's effigy crossed the streets of Torricella Sicura.
