Edition 2025 — Saint Maria Goretti Festival
The 2025 Edition
The festivities in honor of Saint Maria Goretti, patron saint of Latina and the Agro Pontino, followed the established pattern in 2025: a first part, from June 28th to July 2nd, dedicated to cultural and social meetings and regular liturgical celebrations, and a second, more intensely devotional part.
On Friday, July 3rd, at 7:00 PM, the triduum in honor of the patron saint began with a solemn Mass presided over by Father Giovanni Alberti, followed by the blessing of the new artistic stained-glass windows dedicated to the life of Saint Maria Goretti.
July 6th
On the day of the festival, at 8:30 PM, Monsignor Mariano Crociata, Bishop of Latina-Terracina-Sezze-Priverno, presided over the Eucharistic celebration on the church square. This was followed by the procession with the patron saint's statue, accompanied by the Latina "G. Rossini" Band, along Viale XVIII Dicembre, Via Carturan, Piazzale Carturan, Via Milazzo, Via Giulio Cesare, and Via Corridoni. As every year, the devotion also extended to Le Ferriere and the Agro Pontino, where the saint is the subject of a deeply rooted cult.
